Supervisor Concept Supervisor is the lowest management position in hierarchic terms, this is, the person who in hierarchic terms is right above the non manager employees and below all the remaining mangers. In a manufacturing unit, for example, the supervisor is the person who coordinates and supervises a team of workers. In a sales department will be the person who coordinates a sales team. Sometimes are used other terms to designate the supervisor, namely the section leader team leader, foreman, among others. Being a manager from the hierarchy base, to the supervisor is demanded, above all, great technical skills (should be someone with deep knowledge of the performed tasks as a way to be able to distribute work, help the subordinates, etc.) and also big social and human skills that allow to accurately perform the organization and people leadership activities.
