Recruitment Concept The term recruitment designates a group of techniques and methods destined to attract candidates able to occupy certain positions or develop certain tasks in the organization. The main recruitment techniques used are the candidates’ data base research, placement of ads above all in the written press and Internet, participation in workshops and other events destined to employment promotion, disclosure near public entities of employment support, associations and school bodies of employment promotion, mouth-to-mouth disclosure and still the resource to specialized entities.
Internal Recruitment vs External Recruitment Recruitment can be made inside the organization (internal recruitment) or outside of the organization (external recruitment). In case of internal recruitment, the organization searches among its current cooperators someone who is available and interested in occupying a certain space, thereby maximizing its own resources. The main advantages of internal recruitment are, among others, the profitability of its own resources, the lower risk associated to the unknown new employee, lower costs and time associated to the recruitment process and still the fact that can be used as a motivational factor of the employees. When the recruitment is external, the organization searches outside the adequate person to fulfill such space being the kind of recruitment used whenever internally doesn’t exist an available person or with the necessary qualities.
