Executive Writing Concept The expression Executive Writing refers to a specific communication channel used in entrepreneurial/organizational context. In executive writing the emphasis is placed in the synthesis capacity and direct speech, being many times associated to time pressures. Here, despite the style significance is given a much bigger significance to fast and effective transmission of the messages’ basic ideas that are intended to forward. The main advantages of the written communication channel are the audience time savings (reading is faster than listening), better absorption capacity by the receptor, message’s detail level and existence of legal and permanent registration. The main disadvantages are the impossibility of immediate feedback or the interaction difficulty between the transmitter and the receptor, the control loss over the form and the message reading moment and still the absence of tone that can lead to interpretation errors.
