Ex-Works Concept

The English expression Ex-Works is used in the commerce between companies ad designates the price at leaving the plant. Such, means that the value invoiced by the seller only includes the costs up to leaving the plant or the warehouse of the own seller, being all of the costs from that point (like for example the transport costs) a charge for the buyer.

The Ex-Works expression (and its acronym EXW) is part of the set of terms used in international commerce (the called Incoterms) and normalized by the allowance of ONU for the contracts of international commerce of goods.
