Gantt Graphic Concept

Gantt Graphic (also known as Gantt diagram), developed in 1917 by Henry Gantt, consists on a schematic representation of the several phase or tasks of a production program or project. In this diagram, each task is represented by a horizontal line, whose length varies with its time duration. So, the time given for a task is represented by a horizontal bar whose left end is positioned above the date expected for the start and the right end above the date expected for the conclusion. Depending on the project’s characteristics, tasks can connect sequentially or be performed in parallel.
